These terms apply when you use CareerValue or purchase a CareerValue paid product.

CareerValue is a digital service provided under the registered business name Career Value Australia, operated by an Australian sole trader, ABN 91 242 627 040. Contact: support@careervalue.com.au.
CareerValue is an online career exploration and decision-support service. It uses information you provide together with occupation, labour-market and training information to compare possible career moves. Results are generated by software; they are not individual professional advice from a career counsellor, recruiter, lawyer, financial adviser, regulator or registered training organisation.
Career recommendations, salary figures, vacancy/shortage indicators, worker-mobility information, training pathways, job listings and CareerValue scores can change or be incomplete. They do not guarantee employment, earnings, licensing, registration, course admission, visa/work rights or suitability. Before relying on a result for a significant decision, verify current requirements with the relevant employer, regulator, training provider or other authoritative source.
You are responsible for providing accurate account information and keeping your password secure. Do not share account credentials. If you believe an account has been compromised, contact CareerValue promptly.
CareerValue Plus is a one-off payment for 30 days of the inclusions shown at purchase. It does not automatically renew and CareerValue does not charge again when the period ends.
Full Career Report is a one-off purchase tied to one selected analysis. It has no scheduled 30-day expiry and remains available in the purchasing account after Plus expires, while the account and CareerValue service remain available. It is not a promise that the website or a particular data source will operate indefinitely.
Job Application Pack is a one-off add-on generated from one saved CareerValue analysis and job-advertisement text supplied by the customer. It is designed to organise evidence, identify requirements to verify and provide application-preparation prompts. It does not verify eligibility and must not be used to invent experience, qualifications, licences or achievements.
Career Move Bundle, when offered, includes a 30-day Plus period, one Full Career Report credit and three Job Application Pack credits. The Plus period begins when the payment is confirmed. The bundle does not automatically renew, and CareerValue prevents purchase while an existing Plus period is active so two 30-day periods are not accidentally overlapped.
Application Pack bundles, when offered, add the stated number of unused Application Pack credits to the purchasing account. Unused report/Application Pack credits have no scheduled expiry but require the CareerValue account and service to remain available. Deleting the account removes unused credits. Refunds or disputes can invalidate credits and outputs created from those credits, subject to non-excludable consumer rights.
Prices are shown in Australian dollars before payment. CareerValue is not currently registered for GST, so GST is not added to the displayed prices.
Payments are processed through Stripe's hosted checkout. CareerValue does not store full payment-card numbers. Paid access is granted only after CareerValue verifies a successful payment.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law apply and cannot be excluded by these terms. CareerValue does not promise a refund merely because a customer changes their mind after receiving the service, but this does not affect any right to a remedy where a consumer guarantee is not met. Paid features can link to current job advertisements supplied by Careerjet, Adzuna or other external sources. Those advertisements are controlled by third parties, can change or expire without notice, and are not offers of employment from CareerValue. External websites have their own terms, privacy practices and application processes.
CareerValue may receive a commission or referral payment when a user voluntarily follows a clearly labelled partner link. Commercial relationships do not buy a higher career score, change training-pathway order or determine which occupations CareerValue recommends.
You keep ownership of the résumé and information you provide. You give CareerValue permission to process that material only as reasonably needed to provide, secure and support the service and the features you request. Do not upload material you do not have the right to use.
Do not attempt to compromise the service, access another person's account or private analysis, interfere with security controls, use automated scraping to extract CareerValue or third-party job data at scale, or use the service for unlawful purposes.
CareerValue's software, design, scoring methods, written content and report presentation are protected by applicable intellectual-property law. A purchased report may be used and retained for your personal use. It may not be resold or represented as an official qualification, licence, employer assessment or government document.
CareerValue may update occupation data, methods, design and features as the service develops. Planned maintenance, provider outages or security work may occasionally affect availability. CareerValue will not use a change to remove consumer rights or misrepresent what a customer purchased.
If you choose to delete your account, CareerValue deletes the account data and paid-access records stored by the application and you lose access to purchased reports, Application Packs and unused paid credits. This action cannot be undone. Payment and provider records may be retained independently for legal, fraud-prevention, dispute or record-keeping purposes.
CareerValue may restrict or suspend access where reasonably necessary to respond to fraud, security threats, unlawful use or serious misuse. Any action affecting a paid service remains subject to rights that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, CareerValue is not responsible for a decision made solely on the basis of a career score, an external job advertisement or third-party information that the user could reasonably verify independently.
These terms are governed by laws applicable in Queensland and Australia. Nothing in this clause limits any non-excludable right a consumer has under Australian federal, state or territory law.
